Excellent condition for a book of its age, I think. There is a small tear in the back binding fabric (hard to see, bottom right in the picture) All pages are complete. There is writing on the first page indicating it was a christmas present to someone in 1928. All the pages are there. (I actually read this book cover to cover, it's quite good, actually. sort of like the Hardy boys mysteries series)
The paper at the spine inside of the hardcovers is cracked and split away (not surprising, considering it's over 80 years old) I've handled it with the best possible care since I obtained it, as to preserve its condition as much as possible. Story is about Air Service in Europe during World War One, and historically seems accurate in methods, and aircraft, etc. I dont know if it is historically accurate as to the actual events depicted, I believe it is a work of fiction.
Overall a really nice item for history/military buffs.
