This auction is for a superb vintage hardback edition entitled “I Owe Russia $1200,” by Bob Hope, with TWENTY-EIGHT wonderful vintage photographic illustrations.
It was published by Robert Hale Limited, of London, in 1963.

This book is essentially a record of some of Bob Hopes tours to American military posts around the world, including a visit to Moscow, with photographs and behind the scenes tales of some of his fellow entertainers, such as Jayne Mansfield, Bing Crosby, William Holden, Anita Ekberg, Ginger Rogers, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Andy Williams, Joan Collins and others.
The book measures 8.75 inches 5.5 inches x 1.25 inches.
The 191 pages are nice and neat and a little faded with age. The binding is very good with no loose or missing pages.
There are NO inscriptions and NO other ink or pencil markings in the book.
The original cloth hardback cover is in very good condition for its age and is clean, having been largely protected by the dust-jacket. The illustrated dust-jacket is good for its age, with wear, is a little faded, and has not been price-clipped.
A wonderful vintage edition – the starting price is just ONE PENNY, with NO RESERVE, and I WILL SELL to the highest bidder.
