Description:"Bound to Rise or Up the Ladder" by Horatio Alger Jr. (1873--later ed., but probably no later than the 1930s) is a wonderful story about a young man who goes to work in a shoe shop to help his father pay his debts. The book is a morality play about saving money and keeping clear of villains. The covers have brightly colored pictures.
This hardback book is in good condition with minor corner and edge wear to the covers, a cloth bound spine that may be a replacement, and very yellowed pages. The pages are free of tears and marks.
Size/Measurement:7 x 5 inches; 182 pages; and weighs eight ounces.
