Two vintage paperbacks from two early television series: CAPTAIN NICE by William Johnston (Tempo T-155, first printing 1967) "Mild, meek, mother's boy, Carter Nash is Captain Nice, the super-human protector of Big Town....An original novel about NBC Television's hilarious defender of justice, Captain Nice." Photo on cover of William Daniels as Captain Nice. And SERGEANT BILKO by Nat Hiken (Ballantine 229, 1957) "Ten of the funniest stories from the smash hit TV show that has swept the country." Photo on front cover shows Phil Silvers as Sergeant Bilko from The Phil Silvers Show. There are 4 smaller b/w photos on the back cover from the show.
Condition: Not good on either book, but I decided to list them because they're hard to find. Cover of Capt. Nice feels rough and looks grungy and worn, especially back cover. Various small tears, wrinkles, stains, interior yellowed, binding tight and square. Bilko has corner cut off front cover and pages 1-8 also, with 25 written on page nine. Wear, wrinkles, concave spine, interior yellowing, binding square and tight.
Please don’t forget to check out my other items since, if you buy more than one, every item after the first is just a dollar each for shipping as long as I mail them together. International customers: If you buy more than 4 items, I may instead figure shipping and handling by the total weight of the package. Please don’t pay till I send you a final invoice with the correct shipping.
