Christie's South Kensington, London, British and Continental Glass. London, Thursday 11 April 1996. Softcover, 32 pp., 285 lots. Illustrated with Color and BW Plates. You are bidding on a catalog of British and Continental Glass from an auction at Christie's, South Kensington in April 1996. The works primarily date from the 19th-mid 20th century. Although not fully illustrated, a large number of the works are represented with high-quality color and BW plates printed on heavy-stock paper. Condition: My copy of this catalog is new and in excellent condition, overall. The stapled binding is tight, with both staples firmly in place. Both covers and all interior pages are intact. The interior catalog pages have no rips, creases or writing on them. There is a stamp from a library or collection stating that the catalog has been deaccessioned from the European Sculpture and Decorative Arts Department. The exterior of the catalog is in great shape with very, very minor (almost none) evidence of wear to the edges and ends of the covers and spine. Note: It would have been impossible for me to scan any of the interior plates without changing the condition of the catalog. The image I have used in my listing is from the front cover of the catalog and shows: A Pair of Tower of London Rummers from c. 1830 and A Large Sunderland Bridge Rummer from the Early 19th Century (Lots 21 and 22).
