2 vintage Chicago Paperback House Originals (PBO - paperback original - not printed first in hardback): HOUSE OF THE HUNTER by Frank Taylor (A-107) referred to as Science Fiction in the Paperback Price Guide (1962) "Ten men, two women, alone in an empty, dead Los Angeles. They chose to live together--and to die separately, as the hunter cut them down. Twelve, eleven, ten, nine little Indians." And -OR MURDER FOR FREE by J. I. Potter (A-104, 1962) "That sea-going Jeff Tyler and his eighty-five foot Loafalong sight a life raft with a dead boy, and an almost dead girl, drifting on the Carribean Sea. A Jeff Tyler--Loafalong blending of rough, violent action against corruption, and tender loving care against seduction." Both books have GGA (good-girl art) covers by Cloutier.
Condition: House of Hunter cover looks worn, small area of damage at upper left corner, wrinkles and dents, interior yellowing, bookstore stamp first page. Pages not loose yet, but when you open the front cover, it looks like the spine is trying to come unglued. Or Murder for Free in less worn shape, but does have dents and wrinkles too. Interior yellowing, first couple of pages trying to come loose, original Target price tag inside cover.
