"MILLIONS" WRITTEN BY FRANK COTTRELL BOYCE- In this novel set in England, a fourth-grader named Damian is suddenly wealthy when he finds an abandoned bag filled with money: 229,370 pounds. But Damian has a problem: It's seventeen days before England changes their monetary system from the pound to the Euro; after that time, all pounds not spent or converted to Euros will become worthless. With the help of his older brother Anthony, Damian is determined to spend or convert all of the money--but with the thieves who originally stole the cash closing in on them, the brothers might end up cashing in more than just the pounds. A Kirkus Editor's Choice for 2004. 6. "HEIDI" WRITTEN BY JOHANNA SPYRI- Young Heidi is forced to live with her grandfather who resides in a cottage high in the Alps of Switzerland. Heidi and her grandfather have a happy life together but her life changes when she is sent to the village to care for a sick girl. 7. "THE BOY I LOVED BEFORE" WRITTEN BY JENNY COLGAN- Bored with her job… and basically her whole life, and with her boyfriend about to pop the question, Flora makes a wish during the cake cutting at her best friend's wedding. What does she wish... to be 16 again. But be careful what you wish for ... now she is sixteen again and in high school but the year is still 2003 - a few weeks before the wedding wish, and the only ones younger are Flora and her parents. Only a couple of people even remember her as being an adult and they are as confused as she is about how to 'fix' this problem. Flora has a chance now to do the things she was 'afraid ' to do before, and change some things in her life, such as what career she will pursue for the future and keeping her parents’ marriage from falling apart. But for every change she makes for the better there is something else that changes in a not so good way. What is Flora going to do now? As the wish day draws nearer Flora must decide whether staying sixte! en is worth all she loses, and if not, is there still an older Flora to even return to? The Boy I Loved Before is an interesting chick lit tale for all of us who wonder what if we could go back and do it different. Most of this tale is spent watching Flora bounce back and forth between wanting to be young and carefree again and wishing for what she already had - only better. 8. "HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN" WRITTEN BY J.K. ROWLING- During his third year at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry Potter must confront the devious and dangerous wizard responsible for his parents' deaths. Rowling proves that she has plenty of tricks left up her sleeve in this third Harry Potter adventure, set once again at the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. Right before the start of term, a supremely dangerous criminal breaks out of a supposedly impregnable wizards' prison; it will come as no surprise to Potter fans that the villain, a henchman of Harry's old enemy Lord Voldemort, appears to have targeted Harry. In many ways this installment seems to serve a transitional role in the seven-volume series: while many of the adventures are breathlessly relayed, they appear to be laying groundwork for even more exciting adventures to come. The beauty here lies in the genius of Rowling's plotting. Seemingly minor details established in books one and two unfold to take on unforeseen significance, and the finale, while not airtight in its internal logic, is utterly thrilling. Rowling's wit never flags, whether constructing the workings of the wizard world (Just how would a magician be made to stay behind bars?) or tossing off quick jokes (a grandmother wears a hat decorated with a stuffed vulture; the divination classroom looks like a tawdry tea shop). The Potter spell is holding strong. PLEASE EMAIL ME WITH ANY YQUESTIONS! IF YOU WOULD LIKE A BUY IT NOW OPTION, I WILL CONSIDER ALL OFFERS ON ALL AUCTIONS!
