A Tramp Abroad, Mark Twain, Chatto & Windus, London, 1882. Hard Cover. Book Condition: Very Good. Original binding of red cloth with gilt lettering to spine and upper front cover, black embossed decoration to spine, lower and upper front cover. C & W black embossed logo on back cover. Hinges & binding in very good condition. The spine has some fading with very light wear at extremes. Internally very clean with some foxing. There are a few page with wrinkles and slight tears. Two small pencil inscriptions on inside front. Some dust on exterior pages. Frontispiece dust cover intact. A small ding on the rear hard cover. Illustrated by W. Fr. Brown, True Williams, B. Day and other artists- with three or four pictures made by the author of this book without outside help. The book features a total of three hundred and fourteen illustrations. This book is an account of Twain's tour of Europe. The first edition of the British edition was printed in 1880. This is an nice early edition of the book that sells for $100 or more on rare book web sites and at auction. This is a no reserve auction.
