It is in beautiful condition, other than the minor damage you can see in photo (note about 3 in. up from bottom left is a small tear in binding fabric, and bumped corners)
It appears, from the Table of Contents page that this is intended as a teacher's guidebook in the teaching of reading. Inside first leaf, which is blank, has some pencil (I think) marks, and the back cover last pages and inner cover also have similar writing, probably notes by the owner. Book is copyright 1925 Laurel Book Company, By Charles J Anderson and Isobel Davidson. You can see the gold leaf is intact in the front cover and spine, and a design on the back cover also in gold leaf. Very nice condition, other than the handwritten notes in the inside front and back covers.
