In an honest attempt to teach and show you The Word of God. How it works for and against you. The Word of God that we want to reveal to you is a living thing. Changing everything that it comes in contact with. Plant it in good soil, water it, keep the weeds out and it will grow. I plant this seed of The Word of God into your life in The Name of Jesus, and by His Blood. Water it with The Word of God coming out your mouth. Keep the weeds out by keeping your thought life (your imagination, fantasy life) and your actions in line with The Word of God. What you are now is the result of what you have been saying (planting) and doing in your life. Your children are what YOU have been telling them all their life. Change YOUR words and YOUR actions, THEN you change your life. You are the establishing witness. (Matthew 18:16). God is saying one thing, Satan is saying another. What do you say??? “This day I call Heaven and Earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curses. NOW YOU CHOOSE LIFE, so that you and your children may live and that you may love The Lord your God, listen to His voice, and hold fast to Him. For The Lord is your life, and He will give you many years in the land” (Deuteronomy. 30:19-20). The first step of choosing “Life” is accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. First Things First First thing’s first. I want to help you establish some simple habits to insure that you learn Gods’ Word correctly. I want you to get your Bible. If you do not have one, get one. This is one of the most important things you can do for yourself, your family, maybe even your neighborhood. I know it may sound stupid, but this is a must EVERY time you listen to ANYONE speak, about The Word of God or anything else. You must compare what the person is saying to The Word of God!!! Lets go one step further. I know you are probably not ready for this, but are you living a life of victory or are you in debt? Are you sick? How’s your family life? What are your children like? Are you addicted to any thing? Food, Cigarettes, drugs, alcohol? Just what condition is your life in?? Do you want to get better or do you like the attention? Did I hit a nerve? Maybe, maybe not. You go to the doctor to get well. Don’t you? He is not pushing around on your stomach to find out what is OK. He wants to know where it hurts. Pain is good. You find the pain to locate the problem. Fix the problem and the pain goes away. Deal only with the pain and not the problem, you may end up dead. If The Word of God is finding a tender spot, fix the problem. Do what The Word of God says to do. Be what The Word of God says be. Do not deal with the pain by running away or hiding. Your sin WILL find you. You must attack sin with The Word of The Living God, coming out your mouth. Back to the Bible. Not only must you compare what someone is teaching you to The Word of God. You must go beyond that to comparing every thought, every imagination, every word you hear, whether from the TV, Radio, newspaper, book, friend, relative, dog, spirit, where ever, to The Word of The Living God. Reject everything that is contrary to The Word of God. No one can say “Jesus is Lord” except by the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:3). People are not perfect. How many times have you said something, then after saying it, realize that was not what you meant. Do you think it is possible for a minister or priest to misquote the Bible and not catch it? How about if he quoted it correctly and you misunderstand or remember it incorrectly? What if that person or spirit is deliberately misleading you? Can’t happen? Not you? Oh no never him! Jesus Himself said there would be false prophets and teachers. Who are you to say who is who. You will know by filtering every word by The Word of God. After you train your mind to The Word of God, every time you hear, see or perceive anything, scripture will flash across your mind to OK or reject that thought. The Word of God will actually fight everything that is contrary to Gods’ Will. Now, is that Word of God in you attacking sin or outside you attacking sin?? (Attacking the sin in you.) How many cults would never have happened and lives never lost if someone opened the Bible to look at what it really said instead of what someone said it said. Let’s go deeper yet. Did you know religions have actually changed small parts or words in the Bible and changed the entire meaning of The Word of God. Some have been innocent mistakes, others have purposely changed words to conform The Word of God to their doctrine and belief. The way you protect yourself is to have more than one translation of the Bible. I suggest a New International Version (NIV Study Bible), Authorized King James, and The Amplified Bible (both old and new testaments). There are others, but I like these three. The NIV Study Bible is my first reference. It’s easy for me to understand and has a lot of extras to help me study. The King James Bible has words in Italics that were added by the translator. I can take those words out to get closer to the original text. The Amplified Bible expands the meaning of thoughts and words, giving me a broader understanding of what is being said. If there is still a question, go back to the original Hebrew and Greek. You can’t? Do not understand Hebrew or Greek? Get a Concordance, a translator or scholar, someone or something and find out what an EXACT translation is! I thought you wanted to learn, to know the Truth. Then do what it takes to find out what the Truth is or live a second class life and explain to God why you did not do the right thing. Your Bible is the key to your understanding and life. (Second only to accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior.) It is not meant as a history book, though it contains history. It is the wisdom of God given to man kind for Holy living. It is your owners manual and maintenance guide. How to live and how to repair your life. It contains the contracts between God and man. What God promised to do and what man had to do to receive it. Even what would happen if you do not follow His laws. Now, that is a good reason to learn how to read and make sure your children know how. Also remember the Lord said out of the mouths of two or three witnesses let every word be established. (Deuteronomy 19:15, Matthew 18:16). There will be two places in the Bible that explains or talks about something important to ensure that you know what is being said is true. If anyone says something to you and quotes scripture, ask for a supporting scripture. It’s like going to another doctor for a second opinion or another car dealer, retail store to make sure you get the best price. That is why you have Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John all telling you that Jesus is the Son of God, so that you will believe. The Lord said that “faith” comes by hearing. (Romans 10:17). You must control and screen what you hear, because you do not want to have “faith” for the wrong thing. Ever know of a child that all of their life was told that they would never amount to anything? That they would be like their mom or dad? Be a thief? A drunk? A doctor? A lawyer? Those kids are what they were told they would be because they believed what they heard and “faith” came. Now, there is a difference between regular human faith (like knowing that if you sit on a chair it will support you or believing what someone says) and the God kind of Faith that moves mountains. The God kind of Faith coming out your mouth, agreeing with The Word of God, will actually change the reality of the world around you and conform it to Gods’ Word. The way it was meant to be. Be careful on how you are trying to apply your Faith. The proper way is to agree with what The Word of God says. Read it, say it, think it, and meditate on it. (Meditating on The Word of God is the opposite of worrying about something.) You can be and have what The Word of God says you can if, you meet the conditions of the promise. Do not direct your faith against someone else. Example; There is a place in the scriptures where God said that He will meet your needs according to His riches and glory by The Christ, Jesus. Your turn to look it up. Now, maybe you are believing God for food, clothes, or some other need based on that scripture. Do not be directing that toward anyone. You would not want to pray: “Based on this scripture I believe that Mr. or Mrs. So and So will pay my electric bill / give me money / marry me / or be or do something.” That is getting into some occult practices. DO NOT DO IT! Maybe we’ll talk more on that later. If you need your bills paid, food, money, a spouse, or anything else. Look in the Bible and find the promise that answers your need. Go to God in prayer and ask to receive that promise. Believe you receive, when you pray! (God is a now God. Faith is always now. Wishing is tomorrow.) Meet any conditions for that promise. Anytime after you prayed, if you think about it or if the devil tries to tell you it is not working or you are not going to receive it, just thank God for receiving His promise when you first prayed for it. That is watering that seed you planted. The point I am trying to make is BELIEVE for God to take care of your need. Not anyone else. If God tells someone to do something and they do not do it, they are at fault, not you. God will get someone else, God will get it done. That is one reason it takes so long to get anything that has to do with money, because even though you are in line with The Word of God, the person God is trying to bless by having them bless you, does not want to do it or is not listening. That is a good reason to spend some time in prayer and find out what God is leading you to do. Leading you, not following you. It is a good idea to find out what God wants you to do. Then you know that it is blessed, instead of getting ahead of God and trying to have God fix or bless what you started. It may not have been what God had in mind for you. Don’t you think God knows how it will turn out? If you know that you are out of line with The Word of God, repent of that sin and ask God for wisdom on what to do or be. Remember that wisdom is the principle thing. Proverbs 4:1-7. Always ask for wisdom first. Before I forget or don’t get back to this. God promised to protect you. If someone comes at you or runs into The Word of God that is working in your life because he is out of the Will of God or doing something wrong. THAT IS HIS FAULT, NOT YOURS! You are not using The Word of God against him, he is running into God and The Word of God that is protecting you. I hope that you will see and understand the difference. It is a very bad idea to say anything about a child of God, Especially a minister, priest, or a ministry. If that person is saying or doing something wrong, you pray and intercede for them that God will open their eyes and understanding to what they are doing. Maybe God will send someone over to talk to them. Maybe God just might do it Himself. Don’t you do it unless you are sure God told you to and do not talk to them about it unless you already have been praying and interceding for that person to see the Truth in Gods’ Word. Also, you better have been in prayer asking for wisdom for yourself and that person on that subject. You may be the one who is out of line with The Word of God! You start talking bad about someone and you, YOU open the door for Satan in your life. Gossiping is not good for you. You will find yourself in all the trouble and problems they are in, plus more! Did you ever stop and think that maybe, just maybe, God showed you all the problems in a persons’ life or ministry so you could pray for them and get it all straightened out? Maybe God had some higher plans for you. Maybe God knows just how important you could be. Have you been asking God to do Great works for Him or be like one of the apostles in the Bible? What do you think? Do you think that God is going to lay all the problems of the world on you all at one time or is God going to give you something small to handle first? After you help fix that small problem, God and you can do something bigger. But no! God gave some of you special insight into someone else’s life, something small to pray about and you had to tell someone else about it! If you had to tell someone else about it, you should have asked someone to agree with you in prayer about it!!! Now it is all messed up because of you and your mouth. You neither see that nor take responsibility for it and repent. You want to do great things for God. You love God so much, you want to and will do anything for Him. God can not trust you because of your mouth and your actions!!! Sorry, that was for more than one person out there. Chapter One Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable! Mark 4:13 What shall we say the Kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? Mark 4:30. This is it. You want to know how the Kingdom of God operates. Want to know how to use The Word of God as a weapon to defend yourself and attack sin. Know how to change your life, your children. To know how to stand on The Word of God to meet your needs, food on the table, bills paid, etc... This is the foundation of how things operate in the Kingdom of God. With this information you should see how things work, how all things grow and manifest themselves in Gods’ Word. Open your Bible to Mark 4:1. The Parable of the Sower. I know some of you do not have a Bible (yet), or one might not be available at the moment. Make an honest attempt to get one, ask God for one. Lets read. 4:1 Again Jesus began to teach by the lake. The crowd that gathered around Him was so large the He got into a boat and sat in it out on the lake, while all the people were along the shore at the water’s edge. 2 He taught them many things by parables, and in His teaching said: 3 “Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on the rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, multiplying thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times.” 9 Then Jesus said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” 10 When He was alone, the twelve and the others around Him asked Him about the parables. 11 He told them, “The secret of the Kingdom of God has been given to you. But to those on the outside everything is given in parables 12 so that, “‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven’” 13 Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? How then will you understand any parable? 14 The farmer sows the Word. 15 Some people are like seed along the path, where The Word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the Word that was sown in them. 16 Others, like the seed sown on rocky places, hear the Word and at once receive it with joy. 17 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the Word, they quickly fall away. 18 Still others, like the seed sown among thorns, hear the Word; 19 but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the Word. making it unfruitful. 20 Others, like the seed sown on good soil, hear the Word, accept it, and produce a crop-thirty, sixty or ever a hundred times what was sown.” 21 He said to them, “Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand? 22 For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. 23 If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.” 24 “Consider carefully what you hear,” He continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you-and even more. 25 Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.” 26 He also said, “This is what the Kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. 27 Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. 28 All by itself the soil produces grain-first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. 29 As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts a sickle to it, because the harvest has come.” 30 Again He said, “What shall we say the Kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? 31 It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest seed you plant in the ground. 32 Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all the garden plants, with such big branches that the birds of the air can perch in its shade.” 33 With many similar parables Jesus spoke The Word to them, as much as they could understand. 34 He did not say anything to them without using a parable. But when He was alone with His own disciples, He explained everything. Go back and read Mark 4:22-23 and Mark 4:34. That does not sound like what I’ve heard people say. I heard “You never know what God is going to do.” Or “Gods’ Word is not meant to be understood or taken literally.” It looks like to me, that is not what God said. God interprets His Word for you so you can understand. The Bible explains and interprets itself. DO NOT GO TO ANY OTHER SOURCE TO INTERPRET, EXPLAIN, OR DEFINE ANYTHING IN THE BIBLE, BUT THE BIBLE! Oh, I’m sorry. I read Mark 4:34 again and it said Jesus explained everything to His disciples. Disciple means follower or pupil. To HIS disciples He explained everything, everyone else read Mark 4:12. To you it has been given to understand. You can be a disciple if you choose to be. You can. I want you to understand. I want you to live in victory. I want the best for you. I see so many people looking for answers, looking for help. Satan has blinded the eyes and minds of people so that even when they encounter The Truth they do not understand. 2 Colossians 4:4, John 12:40. I’m not mad at you. I do not mean to come off harsh. I do need to get through that front that many of you have up and do not realize it. You need to honestly want to know The Truth, then spend some time and find it. It is the Lord our God who opens our understanding, who is the light and our life. Please pray with me now. Say it, do not think it. And we will both learn together as we let God teach us His Word. Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus, and by His Blood. According to your Word in James 1:5-8. You said “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask of God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it would be given to him. 6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.” Father, we ask for your wisdom concerning your Word, your ways and how to live in your Truth with victory. Bringing everything into alignment with your Word and to your Word. To be a blessing to everyone everywhere and to bring the knowledge of your anointed one Jesus to every person. Giving all the praise, glory, and worship to you my God. In Jesus name we receive your promise now, and give you all the praise and glory for it. We thank you Lord in The Name of Jesus, Amen. Look at Mark 4:23-25. Replace the word “hear” in verse 23, with the word “understand”. Does that make the verse clearer to you? How about a taste of the Amplified Bible? “If any man has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him perceive and comprehend.” That’s good, isn’t it. Notice that it said anyone. All that to come to this point. Everything works by seed, plant, harvest. Simple isn’t it. You knew that didn’t you. But did you realize that is how Gods’ Word works? Everything starts out small and grows. Think back on your life and see how that applies to you. You were small and grew bigger. You learned in school, the longer you attended, the more your intellect grew. Smoked that first cigarette, took that first drink and it grew. Meet that certain someone, the more time you spent together, the more love grew. Now you understand why so many people cheat on their spouse with someone at the office. They spend time with them and not their spouse. Man is a sower. Look at Mark 4:15. The principle thing a person sows is the words they speak and the actions they back them up with. Look at Galatains 6:7; “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” Sow The Word of God by speaking out Gods’ Word. Need food, give or help someone get food. Need cloths, give clothes. Need love, give love. What ever you lack, give it. Money is a little different in that you can name your seed. Give money (where God says to in His Word) and name what you want to receive (as long as it is in line with The Word of God to receive), because something’s are impossible to give. Another way of saying that is with money, you say what kind of seed you want it to be when you plant it (give it), because money is a universal representation of your time, efforts, and goods or products. If you want corn, plant corn, not peas. Think of the farmer. He looks at how much harvest he needs or wants. Then he plants that much crop. He gives the seed, hoping for a harvest. If everything goes right, he reaps a harvest at the end of the season. Sometimes something goes wrong and he loses the crop. That does not stop him from planting next year. He knows that if he does not plant, he will not reap or harvest. He also plants the biggest and best he has. When you plant the biggest best seeds each year, you receive a bigger and bigger harvest from the same size ground. Keep planting the smallest size seed each year and the size and amount of the harvest is smaller each year. Do you see where I am going? Give the best you can. Go buy a new one and give it. Do your best, give your best. God knows your heart. He knows you. Ask a farmer, bad seed does not always grow no matter what the conditions. Do not give some old hand-me-down clothes and expect anything in return, unless that is the best you have. Yes, it is better for someone to have them, than to throw them away. There are many needy people. Just do not expect a harvest on what is junk to you. You should be sowing constantly, every day. You should be living off your giving. Your job is a source for seed and your income not limited to your pay. Read 2 Corinthians 9:6-15. Read it now please. Read Mark 4:26-29. I do not know why or how everything works in the kingdom of God. I do know this works as long as you know that you are not buying or bribing God. You are planting seeds hoping for a harvest. One note. God says out of the abundance of the heart or spirit the mouth speaks. Matthew 12:34-37. And whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you receive it. Mark 11:22-26. You may be trying to plant seeds by saying The Word of God, but if you do not believe it, it will not work for you. Keep going/saying. Faith comes by hearing, even if you are listening to yourself. If you keep saying and saying and saying, then get mad or upset and say “It’s not working” or “This does not work”. That is what you really believe and you have what you say. That remark came out of your spirit and now you know what is in there. You just pulled up your seed, it is dead now. Start over. Keep planting continually. Water it by thanking God that you received it when you first prayed for it. Keep the weeds out by keeping your thoughts, actions, and the words that come out of your mouth, in line with Gods’ Word. More on that later, I’m getting ahead of myself.
